Key Responsibilities
- Assisting master tailors with daily tasks, including fabric preparation and organization.
- Learning to take accurate body measurements and translate them into garment patterns.
- Practicing basic sewing techniques, both by hand and with industrial sewing machines.
- Assisting with cutting fabric according to patterns and specifications.
- Performing garment alterations, repairs, and finishing touches under supervision.
- Maintaining a clean and organized work environment, including machine upkeep.
- Learning about different fabric types, their properties, and suitable handling methods.
- Observing and participating in customer consultations and fittings to understand client needs.
- Supporting inventory management of materials, threads, and accessories.
- Adhering to safety protocols and quality standards in all tailoring processes.
