Ajman Holding is seeking a highly skilled, proactive, and dedicated System Administrator to join our dynamic IT team in Ajman. In this crucial role, you will be instrumental in ensuring the smooth, secure, and efficient operation of our diverse IT infrastructure, which supports our extensive business operations across multiple sectors including real estate, hospitality, and various service industries. You will be responsible for the installation, configuration, maintenance, and reliable operation of our server systems, network devices, and critical applications that form the backbone of our enterprise. As a System Administrator, you will play a vital role in upholding our commitment to operational excellence by managing our Windows and Linux servers, virtualized environments (VMware, Hyper-V), and cloud resources (Azure, AWS). Key Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and maintain Windows and Linux servers, ensuring optimal performance and availability.
- Administer and troubleshoot network infrastructure, including switches, routers, firewalls, and wireless access points.
- Manage virtualized environments using VMware or Hyper-V, including host and guest OS maintenance.
- Implement and maintain robust security measures, including firewalls, antivirus, intrusion detection systems, and vulnerability management.
- Perform regular system backups, conduct disaster recovery drills, and ensure data integrity and availability.
- Monitor system performance, identify potential issues, and implement proactive solutions to prevent downtime.
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for hardware, software, and network issues for end-users.
- Manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls in Active Directory and other systems.
- Document IT procedures, configurations, and inventory to maintain accurate records.
- Evaluate and recommend new technologies to improve efficiency and enhance the IT infrastructure.
- Collaborate with other IT team members and departments to support business objectives.
- Ensure compliance with IT policies, procedures, and industry best practices.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in Windows Server OS (2016, 2019, 2022) administration and Active Directory.
- Strong understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, VLANs).
- Experience with virtualization technologies (VMware vSphere/ESXi or Microsoft Hyper-V).
- Familiarity with network devices (Cisco, Fortinet, Aruba) and firewall management.
- Knowledge of IT security best practices and cybersecurity tools.
- Experience with backup and disaster recovery solutions.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
