Job Description
GE Appliances is seeking a highly motivated and analytical Supply Chain Analyst to join our team in Louisville, Kentucky. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of supply chain management principles and practices, with a proven ability to analyze data, identify inefficiencies, and implement process improvements. This role will be instrumental in optimizing our supply chain operations, ensuring timely delivery of goods, and minimizing costs. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including procurement, manufacturing, and logistics, to achieve strategic objectives. This position requires strong problem-solving skills, meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. You will be involved in forecasting, inventory management, demand planning, and performance reporting. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to contribute to the growth and success of a leading global appliance manufacturer and be a key player in driving innovation within our supply chain.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze supply chain data to identify areas for improvement and cost reduction.
- Develop and implement strategies to optimize inventory levels and reduce lead times.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve supply chain processes and efficiency.
- Forecast demand and manage inventory to ensure timely delivery of goods.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and report on supply chain performance.
- Identify and resolve supply chain disruptions and bottlenecks.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives.
Required Skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other data analysis tools
- Experience with ERP systems (SAP experience preferred)
- Understanding of supply chain management principles
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Strong organizational and time management skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field
- APICS certification (CPIM or CSCP)
- Experience with forecasting and demand planning software
- Experience in a manufacturing environment
- Knowledge of Lean methodologies
