Career.supersecrets is seeking a highly motivated and compassionate individual to join our team in Newport as a Student Support Services Assistant. This entry-level, full-time position is ideal for someone passionate about education and committed to providing outstanding assistance to students navigating their academic and personal journeys. Key Responsibilities
- Provide front-line support and guidance to students on a variety of enquiries, including academic, welfare, and administrative matters.
- Act as a referral point, directing students to appropriate specialist services within the institution or external community when necessary.
- Maintain accurate and confidential student records, ensuring all interactions and resolutions are documented thoroughly.
- Assist in the organisation and execution of student orientation programs, workshops, and other support-focused events.
- Collaborate effectively with team members and other departments to ensure a seamless and holistic support experience for all students.
- Contribute to the development and dissemination of helpful resources and information for the student body.
- Handle sensitive situations with empathy, discretion, and professionalism, adhering to all relevant policies and procedures.

- Demonstrated ability to organise tasks, manage time effectively, and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in basic IT applications, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).

Preferred Qualifications
- NVQ Level 2/3 in Customer Service, Administration, or a related field.
- Previous experience in a customer-facing role, preferably within an educational or service-oriented environment.
- Familiarity with educational systems or student information platforms.
- Ability to speak Welsh is desirable but not essential.
