Key Responsibilities
- Manually collecting litter, debris, and waste from streets, pavements, parks, and public areas.
- Operating basic street cleaning equipment (e.g., litter pickers, brushes, shovels, hand carts).
- Emptying public litter bins and reporting damaged or overflowing bins.
- Assisting with the removal of fly-tipping and graffiti (where appropriate and trained).
- Following health and safety procedures at all times, including wearing appropriate PPE.
- Reporting hazards, damage, or maintenance issues observed during duties.
- Working effectively as part of a team to cover designated routes and areas.
- Engaging positively with the public when necessary, acting as a visible representative of our commitment to cleanliness.
- Performing duties in varying weather conditions.
Required Skills
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting, bending, and walking for extended periods.
- Reliability and punctuality.
