Key Responsibilities
- Assist in receiving, unloading, and storing incoming inventory and supplies.
- Organize and maintain the cleanliness and orderliness of the store/warehouse.
- Accurately pick and pack items for dispatch or customer collection.
- Help with inventory counts and maintain stock records.
- Monitor stock levels and report discrepancies or shortages to the supervisor.
- Assist customers with loading purchases, if applicable, ensuring proper handling.
- Ensure all health and safety guidelines are strictly followed at all times.
- Support the Store Keeper with daily operational tasks and administrative duties.
- Operate basic equipment like hand trucks or pallet jacks (with training) safely.
Required Skills
- Ability to lift and move heavy items (up to 25kg) comfortably.
- Basic numeracy and literacy skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Reliable and punctual.
- Good organizational skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team.
- Proactive and eager to learn.
Preferred Qualifications
- Secondary School Leaving Certificate (SSCE) or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a retail or warehouse setting (even informal) is a plus but not required.
