Key Responsibilities
- Process customer transactions accurately and efficiently using point-of-sale (POS) systems.
- Handle various payment methods, including cash, credit/debit cards, and mobile money, ensuring proper reconciliation.
- Provide exceptional customer service by greeting customers, answering questions, and assisting with their shopping needs.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and inviting checkout area, adhering to store standards.
- Assist with stocking shelves, merchandising, and ensuring products are readily available, as needed.
- Balance cash drawer at the beginning and end of each shift, reporting any discrepancies.
- Inform customers about current promotions, loyalty programs, and special offers.
- Process returns, exchanges, and resolve customer complaints with professionalism and a positive attitude.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth store operations and a cohesive work environment.
