Situated within the historic and bustling Coppergate Centre, our York store is a cornerstone of luxury shopping, renowned for its exquisite product range and unparalleled customer service. As a Stockroom Assistant, you are the essential engine behind our retail operations, directly impacting our ability to deliver the sophisticated shopping experience Fenwick is celebrated for.
This isn’t just a role about moving boxes; it’s about being the meticulous guardian of our merchandise. You will be instrumental in ensuring the smooth and efficient management of all incoming and outgoing stock, from the moment it arrives at our loading bays to its eventual journey onto our beautifully curated sales floors or dispatch for online orders. Your commitment to precision will ensure that every item – from high-end fashion to homeware and cosmetics – is properly received, categorised, stored, and retrieved. You’ll be a vital part of maintaining accurate inventory records, preventing discrepancies, and ensuring that our sales team always has access to the right products at the right time.
We are searching for an individual who is naturally organised, possesses an unwavering eye for detail, and thrives in a dynamic, team-oriented environment. The role requires physical stamina and a proactive approach, as you’ll be actively involved in lifting, moving, and arranging stock within our busy stockroom. Your ability to work effectively under pressure, coupled with excellent communication skills, will be key to collaborating with various departments, including sales, visual merchandising, and logistics. You will uphold Fenwick’s high standards of operational excellence, contributing to a workspace that is both efficient and compliant with all health and safety regulations.
