Key Responsibilities
- Efficiently receive and unload deliveries, meticulously verifying accuracy against delivery notes and company standards.
- Organise and store incoming stock safely and systematically in designated areas, strictly adhering to all health and safety regulations and food hygiene standards.
- Promptly and accurately replenish shelves, chillers, and freezers on the sales floor, ensuring all products are front-faced, well-presented, and visually appealing.
- Proactively monitor stock levels across all departments, identify low stock items, and effectively communicate replenishment needs to relevant department managers.
- Conduct regular stock checks and actively assist with comprehensive inventory management processes to maintain accurate records.
- Implement and adhere to robust stock rotation procedures to ensure product freshness, minimise waste, and uphold 'first in, first out' (FIFO) principles.
- Maintain an impeccably clean, tidy, and organised stockroom and sales floor at all times, including waste disposal and equipment upkeep.
- Politely assist customers with product enquiries and locate items on the sales floor when needed, providing excellent service.
- Operate manual handling equipment (e.g., pallet trucks) safely and responsibly, following all operational guidelines.
Required Skills
- Exceptional organisational skills and an unwavering attention to detail.
- Demonstrated ability to work efficiently and calmly in a dynamic, fast-paced retail environment.
- Good physical stamina, with the capability to safely lift and move heavy items as required.
- Excellent time management abilities and the capacity to effectively prioritise multiple tasks.
