We are seeking an enthusiastic and highly organized Sports Event Manager to join our dynamic team at the Grand Park Sports Campus in Westfield, Indiana. This pivotal role is responsible for overseeing the successful planning, execution, and post-event analysis of a diverse portfolio of sports events hosted at our facilities. Key Responsibilities
- Lead the planning, coordination, and execution of various sports events at Grand Park Sports Campus, ensuring all client needs and company standards are met.
- Develop comprehensive event timelines, budgets, and operational plans.
- Act as the primary point of contact for clients, vendors, and internal teams throughout the event lifecycle.
- Manage event logistics including venue setup, equipment rental, catering, staffing, and security.
- Oversee on-site event operations, providing leadership and support to staff and resolving any issues promptly.
- Negotiate contracts with vendors and suppliers to secure the best services and pricing.
- Conduct post-event evaluations, including financial reconciliation, client feedback analysis, and performance reviews to identify areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with marketing and sales teams to promote events and secure new business opportunities.
- Ensure strict adherence to all safety regulations, facility policies, and industry best practices.
- Recruit, train, and supervise event staff and volunteers as needed.
Required Skills
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in event management, with a focus on sports or large-scale events.
- Demonstrated ability to manage complex projects, budgets, and timelines.
- Exceptional organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
