Career.supersecrets is seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Specialized: Visa Sponsorship & Accommodation expert to join our thriving team in Sheffield. You will manage end-to-end visa application processes, from initial assessment and documentation gathering to submission and follow-up with UK Visas and Immigration (UKVI). Beyond immigration, you will coordinate temporary and long-term accommodation solutions, ensuring our candidates feel welcomed and supported from day one. Key Responsibilities
- Manage the end-to-end visa sponsorship process for international candidates, primarily focusing on Skilled Worker visas and other relevant routes.
- Act as the primary point of contact for candidates regarding immigration queries, providing clear, accurate, and timely advice.
- Liaise with UK Visas and Immigration (UKVI) and third-party immigration lawyers to ensure all applications are compliant and processed efficiently.
- Prepare and review all necessary documentation for visa applications, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of UK immigration laws, policies, and procedures, advising internal teams and candidates on changes.
- Coordinate and arrange temporary and permanent accommodation solutions for international hires, considering budget, location, and candidate preferences.
- Provide comprehensive pre-arrival and post-arrival support, including information on local amenities, banking, healthcare, and settling-in services.
- Develop and maintain robust tracking systems for visa applications, expiry dates, and accommodation arrangements.
- Collaborate closely with internal recruitment, HR, and client teams to ensure a seamless onboarding experience for international talent.
- Conduct regular audits of immigration records to ensure compliance and identify areas for improvement.
- Assist in the development of candidate welcome packs and relocation guides.
Required Skills
- Proven experience (3+ years) in UK immigration processes, particularly with Skilled Worker visas and sponsorship compliance.
- Demonstrable understanding of UK immigration laws and Home Office regulations.
- Exceptional organisational and project management skills with a strong attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex information clearly and empathetically.
- Proficiency in managing multiple cases simultaneously under tight deadlines.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to potential issues.
- High level of cultural sensitivity and interpersonal skills to support diverse candidates.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and applicant tracking/HRIS systems.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Law, Human Resources, International Relations, or a related field.
- OISC Level 1 or 2 accreditation, or willingness to obtain within a specified timeframe.
- Experience working within a recruitment agency or a large multinational organisation with significant international hiring.
- Additional language proficiency (e.g., European, Asian, or African languages).
- Familiarity with Sheffield and South Yorkshire's local services and housing market.
