Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain high-performance, scalable software solutions for Naver's diverse platforms and services.
- Write clean, efficient, well-documented, and maintainable code in alignment with coding standards and best practices.
- Participate actively in code reviews, providing constructive feedback and ensuring code quality across the team.
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other engineers to define feature specifications and system architecture.
- Identify and resolve technical issues, troubleshoot complex problems, and optimize application performance and scalability.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of development processes, tools, and infrastructure within an agile environment.
- Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends, applying new knowledge to projects where appropriate.
- Document technical designs, specifications, and API interfaces for future reference and knowledge sharing.
- Ensure the security, reliability, and stability of developed systems through rigorous testing and monitoring.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in at least one object-oriented programming language (e.g., Java, Python, C++, Go) with a strong command of its ecosystem.
- Strong understanding of data structures, algorithms, and fundamental computer science principles.
- Experience with relational and/or NoSQL databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Redis) including schema design and query optimization.
- Familiarity with version control systems, especially Git, and collaborative development workflows.
- Solid understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and agile methodologies like Scrum or Kanban.
- Experience with distributed systems and microservices architecture, understanding their challenges and benefits.
- Ability to write comprehensive unit, integration, and end-to-end tests to ensure code quality and system reliability.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving complex technical issues.
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal, for effective collaboration within a diverse team.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure, including deployment and management of cloud-native applications.
- Knowledge of front-end technologies (e.g., JavaScript, React, Angular, Vue.js) for full-stack roles or specific UI development needs.
- Experience with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) and orchestration.
- Familiarity with big data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark, Kafka) and data processing pipelines.
- Contributions to open-source projects, a strong portfolio of personal projects, or published research papers.
- Experience in AI/Machine Learning, Natural Language Processing, or Computer Vision applications.
- Fluency in Korean is a plus, but not required, as primary communication for this role will be in English.
