Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) to join our dynamic team in Oakland, California. This vital role involves providing comprehensive clinical social work services to individuals, families, and groups facing complex behavioral health issues. As an LCSW with ACBH, you will be instrumental in conducting in-depth psychosocial assessments, developing individualized treatment plans, and delivering evidence-based therapeutic interventions. You will work within a multidisciplinary team environment, collaborating with psychiatrists, psychologists, case managers, and other healthcare professionals to ensure integrated and holistic care. Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive biopsychosocial assessments, diagnostic formulations, and risk assessments for clients with diverse mental health and substance use challenges.
- Develop, implement, and monitor individualized treatment plans, incorporating client strengths and recovery-oriented goals.
- Provide individual, group, and family therapy using various evidence-based modalities (e.g., CBT, DBT, trauma-informed care, motivational interviewing).
- Offer crisis intervention, stabilization, and de-escalation services as needed, linking clients to appropriate resources.
- Facilitate seamless coordination of care with internal ACBH programs, external community agencies, and primary care providers.
- Maintain accurate, timely, and thorough clinical documentation in compliance with county, state, and federal regulations.
- Participate in case conferences, clinical supervision, and ongoing professional development activities.
- Act as an advocate for clients, connecting them with essential community resources, housing, employment, and legal services.
- Engage in community outreach and education initiatives to promote mental health awareness and reduce stigma.
Required Skills
- Valid and active California Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) license.
- Master's Degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited program.
- Minimum of 2 years of post-licensure clinical experience in a behavioral health setting.
- Demonstrated ability to conduct comprehensive assessments and formulate diagnoses (DSM-5).
- Proficiency in delivering evidence-based therapeutic interventions.
- Strong crisis intervention and de-escalation skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with an ability to connect with diverse populations.
- Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team and collaborate with community partners.
- Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Commitment to cultural humility, diversity, equity, and inclusion.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with populations affected by severe mental illness (SMI) and/or co-occurring substance use disorders.
- Bilingual or multilingual abilities (especially Spanish, Cantonese, Mandarin, Vietnamese).
- Experience in public sector behavioral health or community mental health settings.
- Familiarity with Alameda County community resources and social services.
- Experience with specific therapeutic modalities such as EMDR, ACT, or family systems therapy.
