Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and implement smart grid architectures and components, including ADMS, DER management, and microgrid control systems.
- Conduct detailed system analysis, modeling, and simulation to optimize grid performance, reliability, and efficiency.
- Evaluate and integrate new smart grid technologies, sensors, communication protocols (e.g., Modbus, DNP3, IEC 61850), and software platforms.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define system requirements, specifications, and test plans.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and cybersecurity best practices.
- Provide technical support and expertise during the deployment, commissioning, and operation of smart grid solutions.
- Research emerging trends in smart grid technology, renewable energy, and energy storage to inform future product development.
Required Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 4 years of experience in smart grid, power systems, or energy management.
- Strong understanding of power system analysis, control, and protection.
- Proficiency with SCADA systems, ADMS (Advanced Distribution Management Systems), or EMS (Energy Management Systems).
- Experience with communication protocols relevant to smart grids (e.g., Modbus, DNP3, IEC 61850).
- Familiarity with renewable energy integration (solar, wind) and battery energy storage systems (BESS).
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
- Fluency in English (written and spoken) is essential for collaboration with global teams.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s or Ph.D. in a relevant engineering discipline.
- Experience with programming languages such as Python, C++, or Java for system development or data analysis.
- Knowledge of cybersecurity principles and best practices for critical infrastructure.
