Job Description
Capricorn Power seeks a highly skilled and motivated Smart Grid Systems Engineer to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of power systems, smart grid technologies, and SCADA systems. This role demands a proactive individual with excellent problem-solving abilities and a commitment to delivering high-quality work. You’ll work closely with a team of experienced engineers and technicians, collaborating on projects and sharing expertise. Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and implement smart grid technologies and systems.
- Develop and maintain SCADA systems and associated software.
- Conduct system simulations and analyses to optimize grid performance.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues within the smart grid infrastructure.
- Monitor grid performance and identify areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with other engineers and technicians on project implementation.
- Prepare technical documentation and reports.
- Stay current with advancements in smart grid technologies and best practices.
Required Skills
- Strong understanding of power systems analysis and control.
- Experience with SCADA systems and related software (e.g., GE, Siemens).
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python or MATLAB.
- Knowledge of smart grid technologies (e.g., AMI, DER integration).
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
