Job Description
The Smart City Infrastructure Planner will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of Maiduguri. This role requires a highly motivated and experienced individual with a strong understanding of urban planning principles, smart city technologies, and sustainable development practices. You will be responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive infrastructure plans that align with the vision of a technologically advanced and environmentally conscious city. This includes working closely with government agencies, private sector stakeholders, and community members to ensure the successful implementation of projects. The successful candidate will possess excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills. This position will be based in Maiduguri, Borno State and will involve both office-based work and field visits.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive infrastructure plans for Maiduguri, incorporating smart city technologies and sustainable development principles.
- Conduct thorough feasibility studies, cost-benefit analyses, and risk assessments for proposed infrastructure projects.
- Prepare detailed project proposals, including budget estimations, timelines, and resource allocation.
- Coordinate with relevant stakeholders, including government agencies, private sector partners, and community representatives.
- Monitor and evaluate the progress of infrastructure projects, ensuring adherence to project timelines and budgets.
- Identify and address potential challenges and risks throughout the project lifecycle.
- Prepare regular progress reports and presentations for senior management.
- Stay abreast of the latest advancements in smart city technologies and sustainable urban development practices.
