As a Welder, you will be instrumental in the fabrication, assembly, and repair of various metal components and structures. Your role will involve interpreting engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications to determine the appropriate welding techniques and materials required. You will be expected to prepare materials for welding by cutting, grinding, and cleaning, ensuring all surfaces are free from contaminants. The ideal candidate will demonstrate proficiency in multiple welding processes, including but not limited to MIG, TIG, and MMA, working with materials such as mild steel, stainless steel, and aluminium.

Key Responsibilities
- Interpret and work from engineering drawings, blueprints, and welding specifications.
- Perform welding tasks using various processes (MIG, TIG, MMA) on different materials (mild steel, stainless steel, aluminium).
- Prepare materials by cutting, grinding, and cleaning components prior to welding.
- Operate and maintain welding equipment and tools safely and efficiently.
- Conduct visual inspections of welds to ensure quality, integrity, and adherence to standards.
- Identify and rectify welding defects, ensuring a high-quality finish.
- Adhere strictly to all health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures.
- Collaborate effectively with team members and other departments.
- Maintain a clean and organised work area.
- Contribute to problem-solving and process improvement initiatives.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as a Welder in a manufacturing or fabrication environment.
- Proficiency in MIG, TIG, and/or MMA welding processes.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and welding symbols.
- Strong understanding of various metal properties and welding consumables.
- Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Solid understanding of health and safety regulations in a workshop setting.
- Manual dexterity and physical stamina.

Preferred Qualifications
- Relevant Coded Welding certifications (e.g., BS EN ISO 9606-1).
- Experience with overhead crane operation.

- NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Fabrication and Welding or equivalent.
- Experience working with bespoke or custom fabrication projects.
