Key Responsibilities
- Lay bricks, blocks, and stones according to architectural plans and specifications.
- Mix mortar, concrete, and other building materials to the correct consistency.
- Prepare surfaces for masonry work, including cleaning, leveling, and moistening.
- Cut and trim bricks or blocks to size using hand and power tools.
- Construct and repair walls, partitions, arches, fireplaces, and other masonry structures.
- Ensure proper alignment, spacing, bonding, and plumbness of masonry units.
- Read and accurately interpret blueprints, drawings, and schematics.
- Adhere strictly to all safety protocols, site regulations, and building codes.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
- Collaborate effectively with other construction professionals on site.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as a Mason or Bricklayer (minimum 3 years).
- Proficiency in various masonry techniques (bricklaying, blocklaying, stonework).
