Key Responsibilities
- Operate and monitor concrete block making machines, including mixers, presses, and conveyors, according to production schedules and specifications.
- Ensure the correct mixture of raw materials (cement, aggregates, water) to meet quality standards for various block types.
- Perform routine checks and minor maintenance on machinery to ensure optimal performance and prevent downtime.
- Conduct quality control inspections of finished blocks, identifying and rectifying any defects or inconsistencies.
- Adhere strictly to all company safety protocols and procedures, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring efficient workflow and a safe environment.
- Assist with the loading, unloading, and storage of raw materials and finished products as required.
- Troubleshoot basic operational issues and report complex mechanical problems to supervisors or maintenance staff.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve production targets and maintain a high standard of product quality.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as a Block Maker or Production Operative in a concrete manufacturing environment.
- Strong understanding of concrete mixing ratios and material properties.
- Proficiency in operating concrete block making machinery.
- Ability to perform basic machine maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality products.
- Physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy materials and stand for extended periods.
- Adherence to safety regulations and practices.
- Basic communication skills in English (verbal).
Preferred Qualifications
- Technical certification or vocational training in mechanical operations or manufacturing.
