Job Description
Are you a highly motivated and experienced construction professional with a keen eye for detail and a passion for leading successful projects? HENSEK Integrated Services Ltd, a leading indigenous engineering and construction firm, is seeking a dedicated and results-oriented Site Supervisor to oversee our dynamic construction projects in Ikot Ekpene, Akwa Ibom. This is a pivotal role where you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of site operations, ensuring projects are completed on schedule, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality and safety. You will be the critical link between project management and on-ground execution, leading and motivating a diverse team of skilled artisans, laborers, and subcontractors. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership capabilities, exceptional problem-solving skills, and a deep, practical understanding of construction methodologies, civil engineering principles, and stringent safety regulations. You will be tasked with interpreting complex blueprints and technical specifications, efficiently managing site resources, supervising subcontractor activities, and maintaining meticulous daily, weekly, and monthly site records and reports. Key Responsibilities
- Directly supervise and coordinate the activities of construction workers, subcontractors, and other site personnel.
- Oversee daily site operations, ensuring strict adherence to project plans, specifications, and established timelines.
- Implement and rigorously enforce all health, safety, and environmental (HSE) policies and procedures on site.
- Monitor and control the quality of work performed, ensuring all construction activities meet required industry standards and project specifications.
- Manage and optimize the allocation and utilization of site resources, including construction materials, equipment, and manpower.
- Interpret complex construction drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications to guide accurate site execution.
- Conduct regular and thorough site inspections to identify and proactively resolve potential issues, hazards, or deviations.
- Prepare comprehensive daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports for project management, detailing work done, challenges, and upcoming tasks.
- Coordinate effectively with suppliers, vendors, and clients to ensure smooth logistical flow and effective communication throughout the project lifecycle.
- Train and mentor junior staff and laborers, promoting a culture of continuous learning, skill development, and professional growth.
- Manage site logistics, including material storage, site security, access control, and efficient waste management practices.
- Ensure full compliance with all relevant local and national building codes, regulations, and industry best practices.
Required Skills

Preferred Qualifications
- Higher National Diploma (HND) or Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Building Technology, Construction Management, or a closely related field.
- Professional certification in construction management or safety (e.g., COREN registration, NEBOSH International General Certificate).
- Experience with construction project management software (e.g., Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, AutoCAD).
- Valid First Aid and CPR certification.
- Fluency in local Akwa Ibom languages (e.g., Ibibio, Annang) is a significant advantage.
