This pivotal role requires an individual with a profound understanding of sheep husbandry, a strong work ethic, and a commitment to sustainable farming practices. As a Sheep Farmer, you will be instrumental in the day-to-day management and long-term health of our Karoo sheep flock, ensuring the highest standards of animal welfare and productivity.
This is a unique ‘Hybrid’ opportunity, blending intensive on-site practical farm work with flexible remote responsibilities. Your responsibilities will span the full cycle of sheep farming, from breeding and lambing to pasture management, health monitoring, and wool production. We are looking for someone who is not only skilled in traditional farming methods but also eager to embrace new technologies and methodologies to enhance efficiency and sustainability. You will contribute to the ongoing success of Ganora, upholding our reputation for quality Karoo lamb and wool, while enjoying the unparalleled beauty and tranquility of the Eastern Cape. This role offers the chance to grow professionally within a supportive environment, making a tangible impact on a cherished agricultural legacy.
