Key Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor a team of care workers, providing guidance and support.
- Assist in the development and implementation of individualized care plans.
- Provide direct personal care, including assistance with washing, dressing, and mobility.
- Administer medication in accordance with policies and procedures.
- Monitor and record service users' health and well-being, reporting any changes to the appropriate medical professionals.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date care records and documentation.
- Liaise with families, healthcare professionals, and external agencies to ensure holistic care.
- Support service users with daily living activities, promoting independence and choice.
- Ensure a safe, clean, and comfortable living environment for all service users.
- Act as a role model, upholding the highest standards of care and professionalism.
Required Skills
- NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care (or equivalent).
- Minimum of 2 years' experience in a care setting.
- Proven ability to lead and supervise a small team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong understanding of safeguarding vulnerable adults.
- Ability to administer medication safely and accurately.
- Patience, empathy, and a compassionate approach.
- Reliability and punctuality.
- Full UK Driving License and access to a vehicle (preferred, but not essential for all roles).
Preferred Qualifications
- First Aid certification.
- Experience with specific conditions such as dementia, Parkinson's, or learning disabilities.
- Additional relevant care-related training or qualifications.
