Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage the general ledger, ensuring the precise and prompt recording of all financial transactions across various entities.
- Execute monthly balance sheet reconciliations and perform in-depth income statement variance analysis to identify trends and discrepancies.
- Prepare comprehensive and accurate financial reports, including detailed profit & loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements, in strict adherence to International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
- Play a key role in the month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring all financial reporting deadlines are consistently met.
- Monitor, reconcile, and ensure the proper elimination of intercompany transactions to maintain consolidated financial accuracy.
- Efficiently manage the accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, overseeing processing, reconciliation, and collection efforts.
- Provide critical support to the budgeting and forecasting processes by supplying accurate financial data, insightful analysis, and strategic recommendations.
- Ensure absolute compliance with all local statutory requirements, tax regulations, and the Group's internal financial policies and procedures.
- Actively participate in both internal and external audits, providing all necessary documentation, explanations, and support.
- Proactively identify opportunities for process improvements and implement innovative solutions to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of financial operations.
- Provide guidance, mentorship, and support to junior accounting staff, fostering their professional development and assisting with complex accounting issues.
- Collaborate effectively with other departments to resolve financial discrepancies, offer expert financial insights, and support operational goals.
Required Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a closely related quantitative field.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in an accounting role, with a strong preference for experience within the hospitality or service industry.
- Demonstrated expertise in general ledger management, financial reporting, and month-end closing procedures.
- Thorough knowledge and practical application of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
- Advanced proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Sage) and exceptional Microsoft Excel skills.
- Outstanding analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities.
- Impeccable attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in all financial outputs.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively within a dynamic and fast-paced team environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, enabling clear articulation of financial information.
