We are seeking a highly diligent, experienced, and proactive Security Supervisor to oversee the comprehensive security operations of a premium residential estate in Ebute-Metta, Lagos. This crucial role involves leading and managing a team of security personnel, ensuring the safety and well-being of residents, protecting property, and maintaining a secure and serene living environment. Key Responsibilities
- Lead, supervise, and train a team of security guards, ensuring adherence to all company and estate security policies and procedures.
- Develop and implement robust security plans and protocols tailored to the unique needs of the residential estate.
- Conduct regular patrols of the estate perimeter, common areas, and critical points to detect and deter security breaches.
- Monitor surveillance equipment (CCTV) and alarm systems, promptly responding to any suspicious activities or incidents.
- Act as the primary point of contact for all security-related matters, managing emergencies, and escalating complex issues to management.
- Prepare detailed incident reports, daily logs, and other documentation as required.
- Ensure effective access control for residents, visitors, and vendors, maintaining strict entry and exit protocols.
- Conduct security briefings and drills, ensuring the team is well-prepared for various scenarios including fire safety and emergency evacuations.
- Liaise effectively with residents, management, and external agencies (e.g., police) to enhance security measures and resolve issues.
- Oversee the maintenance and functionality of all security equipment and systems within the estate.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in security supervision, preferably within a residential or corporate environment.
- Strong leadership and team management abilities, with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- In-depth knowledge of security procedures, protocols, and best practices.
- Ability to operate and monitor CCTV systems and other security technology.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to remain calm and decisive under pressure.
- Strong observational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in written and verbal English, with report writing capabilities.
- Valid security guard license or relevant certification.
