Redbrick Homes International Ltd is actively seeking a highly dedicated, experienced, and proactive Security Supervisor for a vital live-in role within one of our prestigious residential estates in Lekki Phase 2. This is a unique opportunity for a security professional who is not only adept at leadership and strategic planning but also deeply committed to fostering a secure and harmonious living environment. As the live-in Security Supervisor, you will be the cornerstone of our estate’s security framework, responsible for meticulously planning, coordinating, and executing all security operations round-the-clock. Your primary objective will be to safeguard residents, visitors, and property, ensuring strict adherence to established security protocols and procedures. You will lead, train, and motivate a team of security personnel, providing clear direction and fostering a culture of vigilance and professionalism. This role demands exceptional communication skills for liaising effectively with residents, estate management, and external security agencies. You will be the first point of contact for all security-related matters, tasked with immediate response to incidents, conducting thorough investigations, and providing detailed reports. Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage the daily operations of the estate's security team, including scheduling, deployment, and performance monitoring.
- Implement, enforce, and regularly review security policies, procedures, and emergency response plans to ensure optimal protection.
- Conduct regular patrols and inspections of the estate perimeter, common areas, and critical infrastructure to identify and address security vulnerabilities.
- Manage and operate access control systems, CCTV surveillance, and other security technologies to monitor and control entry/exit points.
- Respond promptly and effectively to all security alarms, incidents, emergencies (e.g., medical, fire, theft), and resident concerns.
- Investigate security breaches, disturbances, and incidents, preparing detailed and accurate incident reports for management.
- Serve as the primary liaison between residents, estate management, and external security agencies on all security-related matters.
- Provide ongoing training and mentorship to security personnel, ensuring they are proficient in their duties and updated on best practices.
- Maintain accurate records of security activities, patrol logs, visitor logs, and incident reports.
- Advise estate management on security improvements, upgrades, and preventative measures.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant security regulations and company standards.
- Manage keys, alarms, and sensitive security equipment securely.
Required Skills
- Minimum of 3 years of proven experience in a security supervisory role, preferably within a residential estate or hospitality environment.
- Demonstrable leadership and team management skills with the ability to motivate and train security personnel.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and conflict resolution skills.
- Strong knowledge of security protocols, emergency procedures, and risk management.
- Proficiency in operating CCTV systems, access control systems, and other security technologies.
- Sound judgment and decision-making abilities, especially under pressure.
- Physical fitness and the ability to perform duties requiring standing, walking, and occasional lifting.
- High level of integrity, honesty, and discretion.
- Ability to write clear, concise, and comprehensive incident reports.
Preferred Qualifications
- A tertiary qualification (OND, HND, or B.Sc) in Security Management, Criminology, or a related field.
- Professional security certifications (e.g., Certified Protection Professional (CPP), ASIS certifications).
- First Aid and CPR certification.
- Experience with community engagement and resident relations in a high-end environment.
- Familiarity with local security laws and regulations in Lagos, Nigeria.
