Key Responsibilities
- Conduct regular patrols of assigned areas on foot or via company vehicle to ensure the safety and security of premises, personnel, and assets.
- Monitor surveillance equipment, inspect buildings, equipment, and access points; permit entry to authorized persons.
- Respond promptly and appropriately to alarms, disturbances, and emergency situations, assessing the situation and taking necessary action.
- Observe and report any suspicious activities, safety hazards, or policy violations to management.
- Maintain accurate and detailed logs, daily reports, incident reports, and other required documentation.
- Enforce company policies and procedures, ensuring compliance by all individuals on the premises.
- Provide excellent customer service and assistance to clients, visitors, and employees when needed.
- Administer first aid or CPR in emergency situations until professional medical help arrives.
- Collaborate effectively with local law enforcement and emergency services as required.
Required Skills
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver's license and a clean driving record
- Ability to pass a comprehensive background check and drug screening
- Excellent observational and problem-solving skills
- Strong verbal and written communication abilities
- Ability to remain calm and professional under pressure
- Physical fitness to stand, walk, and patrol for extended periods, and lift up to 50 lbs
- Basic computer literacy for report writing and surveillance monitoring
- Eligibility to obtain a Louisiana Security Officer License (if not already held)
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in security, law enforcement, or military service
- Current Louisiana Security Officer License (GUARD CARD)
- First Aid/CPR/AED certification
- De-escalation and conflict resolution training
- Associates degree or relevant certifications in criminal justice or security management
