As a Night Shift Security Guard, you will play a crucial role in safeguarding our clients’ premises, assets, and personnel during the critical overnight hours. Your responsibilities will include conducting regular patrols, monitoring surveillance equipment, controlling access points, and responding promptly to any security breaches or emergencies. You will be the eyes and ears on the ground, upholding our high standards of safety and vigilance. This position requires an individual who is reliable, detail-oriented, and capable of working independently while adhering strictly to established protocols. You will receive all necessary training to obtain your PSIRA grading and develop essential skills in incident management, risk assessment, and effective communication. Key Responsibilities
- Conduct regular and thorough patrols of designated premises during night shifts, ensuring the security and integrity of all areas.
- Monitor surveillance cameras, alarm systems, and other security equipment to detect and report any suspicious activities or potential threats.
- Control access to premises, verifying identities and authorizing entry for approved personnel and visitors.
- Respond promptly and effectively to alarms, incidents, and emergencies, following established procedures and protocols.
- Maintain accurate records of all incidents, observations, and activities in a detailed and timely manner.
- Enforce company policies and procedures to ensure a safe and secure environment for staff, visitors, and assets.
- Communicate effectively with colleagues, supervisors, and emergency services when necessary.
- Provide excellent customer service and assistance to clients and visitors while maintaining a professional demeanor.
- Complete all required training modules and obtain relevant PSIRA grading as part of the employment.
- Conduct routine checks of safety equipment and ensure all security systems are operational.

Preferred Qualifications
- Valid PSIRA Grade E/D registration (training provided to achieve this).

- Previous experience in a customer service role.
- A valid South African driver's license (advantageous but not essential).
