Job Description
Protectorate Security Services is seeking a dedicated and vigilant Security Guard for a live-in role within a prestigious gated estate located in Ajao Estate, Oshodi-Isolo, Lagos. This is a critical full-time position responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for residents and properties within the estate. The ideal candidate will possess a strong sense of responsibility, excellent observational skills, and a proactive approach to security. As a live-in security guard, you will be an integral part of the estate’s community, ensuring continuous protection and immediate response to any security concerns. Your duties will encompass perimeter checks, access control, surveillance, and swift incident management, all while upholding the highest standards of professionalism and discretion. Key Responsibilities
- Conduct regular patrols of the estate perimeter and common areas, identifying and reporting any suspicious activities or security breaches.
- Manage and monitor access points, verifying identities of residents, visitors, and contractors.
- Operate and monitor CCTV cameras and other security equipment, responding promptly to alerts.
- Maintain accurate records of incidents, visitor logs, and daily security activities.
- Respond to emergencies, including medical incidents, fires, and security alarms, by following established protocols.
- Enforce estate rules and regulations to ensure a harmonious living environment.
- Assist residents and visitors with security-related inquiries and provide directions when necessary.
- Collaborate with local law enforcement when required for serious incidents.
- Perform routine checks on estate infrastructure for security vulnerabilities.
- Provide a visible and reassuring security presence within the estate.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as a security guard or in a similar protective services role.
- Excellent observational and report-writing skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
- High level of integrity, discipline, and trustworthiness.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Physical fitness and ability to stand for long periods and patrol the estate.
- Basic knowledge of first aid and emergency response procedures.
- Proficiency in basic computer operations for log entry and monitoring systems.
