Key Responsibilities
- Perform general cleaning duties, including vacuuming, sweeping, mopping floors, and dusting surfaces.
- Clean and sanitise washrooms, toilets, and changing facilities to a high standard.
- Empty waste bins and transport waste to designated disposal areas.
- Clean windows, glass panels, and internal doors.
- Replenish supplies such as soap, paper towels, and toilet paper.
- Operate cleaning machinery safely and efficiently (e.g., floor polishers, vacuum cleaners).
- Adhere strictly to all health and safety regulations, including COSHH procedures, and wear appropriate PPE.
- Report any maintenance issues, damage, or security concerns to the line manager promptly.
- Maintain cleaning equipment in a good, clean, and safe working condition.
- Work collaboratively with other cleaning staff and academy colleagues to ensure all areas are covered.
- Ensure school premises are secure and alarm systems are set if required at the end of shifts.
