Are you a passionate, results-driven individual with a deep understanding of the Lady Frere community? Vodacom (Pty) Ltd is seeking a dynamic Sales Representative to join our local team. This ‘local’ role is crucial for building and maintaining strong relationships within Lady Frere, truly understanding the unique needs of its residents and businesses, and effectively connecting them with Vodacom’s extensive suite of products and services. As a Hybrid Sales Representative, you will split your time between working from our local store/office and engaging directly with the community through planned outreach activities, local events, and customer visits. Your mission will be to identify new sales opportunities, provide exceptional customer service, and ensure that our valued customers in Lady Frere have access to the best connectivity solutions available. This role requires someone who is not only a fantastic salesperson but also a trusted advisor and a familiar face within the community, capable of translating complex product features into tangible benefits for everyday users. Key Responsibilities
- Achieve and exceed monthly sales targets for Vodacom products and services (e.g., contracts, prepaid, data, devices, value-added services).
- Engage with existing and potential customers within Lady Frere through in-store interactions, outbound calls, and community outreach efforts.
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive understanding of Vodacom's product portfolio and stay updated on new offerings and promotions.
- Provide expert advice and personalized solutions to meet customer communication needs, building trust and long-term relationships.
- Actively participate in local community events, initiatives, and direct marketing activities to promote Vodacom's presence and offerings.
- Process sales transactions accurately, including new activations, upgrades, and service changes, adhering to company policies and procedures.
- Gather and report on local market insights, competitor activities, and customer feedback to inform sales strategies.
- Handle customer queries and resolve issues efficiently and courteously, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in direct sales, preferably in a retail or telecom environment (12+ months).
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
- Strong understanding of the Lady Frere local market and community dynamics.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating initiative and resilience.
- Proficiency in basic computer applications and mobile technology.
- A valid driver’s license and access to reliable transport (preferred for community outreach).
Preferred Qualifications
- A National Senior Certificate (Matric) or equivalent qualification.
- Previous experience specifically within the telecommunications industry.
- Fluency in isiXhosa and English, highly advantageous for local community engagement.
- Diploma or certificate in Sales, Marketing, or a related field.
