Job Description
Career.supersecrets is seeking a highly vigilant and professional Safety Guard to join our client’s corporate office team in Khor Fakkan, Sharjah. This is an essential on-site role that plays a critical part in maintaining a secure and safe environment for all employees, visitors, and assets. As a Safety Guard, you will be the first line of defense, responsible for proactive surveillance, access control, and rapid response to any security concerns or emergencies. The ideal candidate will possess a valid SIRA License and demonstrate a strong commitment to upholding the highest standards of safety and security protocols.
Your day-to-day duties will encompass a wide range of security functions, ensuring the protection of the corporate premises round the clock. This includes monitoring surveillance systems, conducting regular patrols, managing visitor access, and enforcing company security policies. We are looking for an individual with excellent observational skills, sound judgment, and the ability to act calmly and effectively under pressure. You will be expected to maintain detailed records of daily activities and incidents, contributing to a comprehensive security framework. Key Responsibilities
- Conduct regular internal and external patrols of the corporate office premises to deter and detect unauthorized activities.
- Monitor and operate CCTV surveillance systems, promptly reporting any suspicious activities or security breaches.
- Control access to the building and restricted areas, verifying credentials of employees, visitors, and contractors.
- Respond promptly and effectively to alarms, emergencies, medical incidents, and security threats, following established protocols.
- Maintain accurate and detailed daily logbooks, incident reports, and visitor records.
- Enforce company security policies and procedures, ensuring compliance from all personnel and visitors.
- Assist employees and visitors with security-related inquiries and provide directions as needed.
- Conduct bag checks and property inspections as per company policy to prevent theft or unauthorized removal of assets.
- Collaborate with local law enforcement and emergency services when necessary.
- Perform first aid or CPR if certified and required during an emergency, until professional medical help arrives.
Required Skills
- Valid SIRA (Security Industry Regulatory Agency) License is mandatory.
- Proven experience as a Security Guard or similar role, preferably in a corporate environment.
- Excellent observational and monitoring skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities in English.
- Ability to write clear and concise reports.
- Sound judgment and decision-making skills under pressure.
- Physical fitness to perform patrols and stand for extended periods.
- Basic computer literacy for operating surveillance systems and logging reports.
Preferred Qualifications
- Additional security certifications (e.g., First Aid, Fire Safety).
