As a Route Delivery Driver, you’ll be the friendly face of Career.supersecrets, responsible for safely and efficiently delivering a variety of goods to our valued customers across Charlotte and surrounding areas. This isn’t just about driving; it’s about precision, customer service, and ensuring every package arrives on time and in perfect condition. You’ll operate a company vehicle, following established routes while adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations. You’ll manage your daily manifest, load and unload your truck, and interact professionally with customers, representing our commitment to excellence. Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate a company delivery vehicle on predetermined routes.
- Load and unload merchandise, ensuring accurate inventory and secure transport.
- Deliver packages to customers in a timely and professional manner.
- Adhere to all local, state, and federal traffic laws and company safety policies.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, reporting any issues or maintenance needs.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and records, including proof of delivery.
- Provide exceptional customer service during deliveries, resolving minor issues professionally.
- Handle cash or process electronic payments as required, ensuring proper reconciliation.
Required Skills
- Valid driver's license (Class C, non-CDL).
- Clean driving record for the past 3 years.
- Ability to lift and carry packages weighing up to 50 lbs regularly and maneuver heavier items with assistance.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills to manage routes efficiently.
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities for customer interactions.
- High level of reliability, punctuality, and a strong work ethic.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team.
- Must pass a background check and drug screening prior to employment.
Preferred Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Familiarity with Charlotte, NC routes and geographical areas is a plus.
- Previous experience in a customer service-oriented role.
- Basic navigation skills using GPS and maps.
