Key Responsibilities
- Perform manual labor duties such as digging trenches, shoveling aggregates, spreading asphalt, and compacting surfaces.
- Load and unload construction materials, tools, and equipment from trucks and trailers.
- Operate hand and power tools including jackhammers, plate compactors, and concrete mixers, under supervision.
- Assist skilled tradespeople, such as equipment operators and carpenters, with various tasks.
- Set up and break down temporary structures, signs, and traffic control devices as directed.
- Clean and prepare construction sites, ensuring debris and hazardous materials are properly removed.
- Follow all safety procedures and regulations, including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Maintain a clean and organized work area throughout the project.
- Work effectively as part of a team to meet project deadlines and quality standards.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or safety concerns to the supervisor immediately.
