We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Risk and Compliance Auditor to join our dynamic team in Munich. Key Responsibilities
- Plan, execute, and report on risk-based internal audits, focusing on compliance with regulatory requirements, internal policies, and best practices.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of internal control systems, risk management frameworks, and governance processes.
- Identify, assess, and document compliance gaps, operational deficiencies, and potential areas of financial or reputational risk.
- Prepare comprehensive audit reports, detailing findings, recommendations, and action plans for remediation.
- Monitor the timely and effective implementation of corrective actions and management responses to audit findings.
- Stay abreast of evolving regulatory landscapes (e.g., Solvency II, IDD, MiFID II, GDPR, local banking laws) and industry best practices.
- Provide expert advice and guidance to business units on compliance matters, internal controls, and risk mitigation strategies.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with legal, risk management, and business operations teams to foster a strong compliance culture.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of the audit methodology and tools.
Required Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Law, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in audit, risk management, or compliance within the financial services industry.
- Strong understanding of financial regulations and compliance frameworks relevant to insurance and asset management (e.g., Solvency II, GDPR).
- Proven ability to analyze complex data, identify risks, and formulate practical recommendations.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and German.
- High level of integrity, ethical conduct, and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree or equivalent advanced qualification.
- Relevant professional certifications (e.g., CIA, CISA, CRMA, ACCA).
- Experience with GRC (Governance, Risk, and Compliance) software or audit management tools.
