This pivotal role involves the direct collection of various levies, taxes, and fees from individuals and businesses within designated areas of Ado-Ekiti. Key Responsibilities
- Collect designated taxes, levies, fees, and other government revenues from individuals and businesses within assigned areas.
- Issue accurate receipts, tickets, or other forms of documentation for all monies collected.
- Maintain detailed and organized records of daily collections, ensuring all transactions are properly accounted for.
- Reconcile daily cash and receipt summaries with actual collections, reporting any discrepancies promptly.
- Educate taxpayers and the public on various revenue streams and their obligations.
- Enforce compliance with relevant revenue laws and regulations, escalating non-compliance issues as necessary.
- Provide excellent customer service, addressing inquiries and concerns from taxpayers respectfully and professionally.
- Prepare and submit daily, weekly, and monthly collection reports to supervisors.
- Adhere strictly to all financial policies, procedures, and ethical guidelines.
- Collaborate with team members and other departments to achieve collection targets and improve revenue generation strategies.
