Key Responsibilities
- Operate cash registers and point-of-sale (POS) systems to process customer transactions accurately and efficiently.
- Handle cash, credit/debit card payments, and mobile payment methods while ensuring proper reconciliation at the end of each shift.
- Greet customers warmly and provide excellent customer service, answering questions and assisting with product inquiries.
- Scan items, apply discounts, and issue receipts, ensuring all transactions are processed correctly.
- Assist customers with returns, exchanges, and complaints in a courteous and professional manner, escalating issues when necessary.
- Maintain a clean and organized checkout area, ensuring supplies are stocked and equipment is in working order.
- Learn about store products, promotions, and policies to effectively communicate information to customers.
- Assist with merchandising tasks, including stocking shelves and arranging displays as needed.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including those related to security and loss prevention.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure a positive and productive work environment.
