Key Responsibilities
- Accurately process customer transactions using our point-of-sale (POS) system, including cash, card, and other payment methods.
- Provide exceptional customer service, greeting customers warmly, assisting with product inquiries, and resolving complaints efficiently and courteously to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and inviting checkout area, ensuring all necessary supplies (e.g., shopping bags, receipt paper) are stocked and readily available.
- Handle cash and electronic payments securely, adhering strictly to company policies and procedures for cash management and fraud prevention.
- Actively promote store loyalty programs, credit applications, and special promotions to customers, explaining benefits clearly.
- Assist with store opening and closing procedures, including balancing tills, reconciling transactions, and preparing daily reports.
- Collaborate effectively with sales associates, visual merchandisers, and other team members to ensure smooth store operations and a positive overall shopping environment.
- Stay informed about current promotions, product features, store policies, and inventory levels to effectively assist customers and answer questions.
- Process returns, exchanges, and gift card activations accurately and efficiently, adhering to company guidelines.
- Contribute to a positive team atmosphere, demonstrating reliability, punctuality, a proactive approach, and a willingness to help colleagues.
