Key Responsibilities
- Warmly greet customers, assist with seating, and present menus if assigned front-of-house duties.
- Accurately take food and beverage orders, communicating clearly and effectively with kitchen staff.
- Serve food and drinks promptly and courteously to patrons, ensuring a pleasant dining experience.
- Assist in setting up dining areas, including arranging tables, chairs, and place settings to established standards.
- Clear tables efficiently after guests depart, ensuring they are sanitised and ready for the next diners.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining area, serving stations, and designated food preparation zones.
- Help with basic food preparation tasks such as washing, chopping, and portioning ingredients as instructed by supervisors.
- Operate dishwashing equipment and ensure all crockery, cutlery, and glassware are sparkling clean and properly stored.
- Handle cash and process payments accurately using point-of-sale (POS) systems, following established procedures, if trained.
- Restock supplies, including condiments, napkins, and beverages, in a timely manner as needed throughout shifts.
- Adhere strictly to all health, safety, and hygiene standards and regulations to maintain a safe environment.
- Collaborate effectively with all team members, including chefs, servers, and managers, to ensure smooth and efficient service.
- Assist with opening and closing procedures of the restaurant, including cleaning and preparation tasks.
- Attend all required training sessions and team meetings to enhance skills and stay informed.
