Key Responsibilities
- Assist chefs and cooks with basic food preparation tasks, such as washing, peeling, chopping vegetables, and preparing ingredients.
- Maintain a high standard of cleanliness and hygiene across all kitchen areas, including workstations, equipment, and utensils.
- Wash and properly store dishes, pots, pans, and other kitchenware.
- Support the receiving and storage of food deliveries, ensuring items are correctly organized and rotated.
- Dispose of waste and recycling appropriately, adhering to restaurant guidelines.
- Monitor inventory levels for cleaning supplies and communicate needs to supervisors.
- Adhere strictly to all food safety and sanitation regulations.
- Perform general cleaning duties, including sweeping, mopping floors, and wiping down surfaces.
