Key Responsibilities
- Assist chefs and cooks with food preparation tasks, including chopping vegetables, portioning ingredients, and simple assembly.
- Ensure all kitchen areas, including workstations, equipment, and utensils, are cleaned and sanitized regularly and thoroughly.
- Wash dishes, pots, pans, and other kitchenware efficiently and according to hygiene standards.
- Receive and store deliveries, checking for quality and quantity, and ensuring proper rotation of stock.
- Support the culinary team during service by helping with plating, fetching ingredients, and maintaining an organized workspace.
- Follow all health and safety regulations and food hygiene standards diligently.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or supply shortages to the head chef or supervisor.
- Maintain a positive and cooperative attitude, contributing to a harmonious kitchen environment.
- Learn and adapt to new tasks and instructions quickly and effectively.
