Key Responsibilities
- Warmly greet and welcome guests upon arrival, creating a positive first impression.
- Manage the waitlist and seating chart, ensuring efficient table turnover and optimal guest flow.
- Escort guests to their tables, present menus, and inform them of specials or promotions.
- Answer incoming calls professionally, take reservations accurately, and provide information regarding the restaurant.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and presentable host stand and waiting area.
- Assist guests with coat check or special requests, such as high chairs or booster seats.
- Collaborate effectively with servers, bussers, and kitchen staff to ensure seamless service.
- Handle guest inquiries and complaints with grace and escalate issues to management when necessary.
- Assist with light cleaning duties during downtime to maintain restaurant cleanliness.
- Become knowledgeable about the menu, daily specials, and beverage offerings.
