Key Responsibilities
- Conduct regular patrols of the residential property, including perimeter checks, common areas, and parking facilities, both on foot and via vehicle.
- Monitor surveillance cameras and alarm systems, responding promptly to any suspicious activity or alarms.
- Control access to the premises, verifying the identity of visitors, contractors, and residents, and issuing passes as required.
- Enforce community rules and regulations, ensuring compliance and addressing violations in a professional manner.
- Respond to emergency situations, including medical incidents, fires, and security breaches, coordinating with emergency services as necessary.
- Prepare detailed incident reports, daily activity logs, and other documentation accurately and in a timely fashion.
- Provide excellent customer service to residents and guests, assisting with inquiries and providing directions when needed.
- Inspect and maintain security equipment to ensure proper functionality.
- Act as a visible deterrent to crime, fostering a sense of security within the community.
- Conduct routine checks of lighting, gates, and other security infrastructure.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as a Security Guard or in a similar role
- Valid North Carolina Security Guard license (or ability to obtain one prior to employment)
- Excellent observational and communication skills
- Strong ability to de-escalate conflicts and handle emergency situations calmly
- Basic computer proficiency for report writing and monitoring systems
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Physical fitness to conduct patrols and stand for extended periods
