Key Responsibilities
- Conduct in-depth financial modeling and valuation (DCF, NPV, IRR) for renewable energy investment opportunities (wind, solar, storage, hydrogen, etc.).
- Perform comprehensive due diligence on potential projects and companies, including market, commercial, technical, and regulatory assessments.
- Prepare detailed investment memoranda, presentations, and reports for internal stakeholders, including senior management and the Executive Board.
- Analyze market trends, competitive landscapes, and regulatory developments within the renewable energy sector in Germany and internationally.
- Support the negotiation and structuring of investment transactions, collaborating with legal and commercial teams.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with external partners, developers, and financial advisors.
- Participate in post-acquisition integration planning and ongoing performance monitoring of acquired assets.
- Contribute to strategic planning initiatives related to EnBW's renewable energy growth targets and broader sustainability objectives.
Required Skills
- Master's degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related quantitative field.
- Minimum of 4 years of professional experience in investment banking, private equity, corporate finance, or project finance, with a significant focus on renewable energy.
- Proven expertise in financial modeling, valuation techniques (DCF, NAV, multiples), and investment analysis.
- Strong understanding of renewable energy technologies, market dynamics, and regulatory frameworks in Germany and Europe.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint for complex financial analysis and compelling presentations.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking abilities.
- Fluent in both English and German (written and spoken) is essential for effective communication with internal and external stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications
