Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Remote Teacher to join our dynamic team at Think Digital College. Key Responsibilities
- Design and deliver engaging online lessons in accordance with the CAPS curriculum and Think Digital College's educational standards.
- Utilise the virtual learning environment (VLE) effectively to facilitate interactive lessons, discussions, and activities.
- Assess student progress through assignments, tests, and projects, providing timely and constructive feedback.
- Monitor student engagement and academic performance, implementing interventions as needed to support learning.
- Communicate regularly with students, parents, and academic advisors regarding student progress, challenges, and achievements.
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and communication.
- Participate in online professional development sessions and staff meetings.
- Adapt teaching strategies to meet the diverse needs of learners in a remote setting.
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and stimulating virtual classroom environment.
Required Skills
- Bachelor's Degree in Education or relevant subject area with a PGCE/PGDE.
- SACE registration (or eligibility for SACE registration) is mandatory.
- Minimum of 2 years of demonstrable teaching experience.
- Proficiency in using Learning Management Systems (LMS) and other educational technologies.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organisational and time management abilities.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote team setting.
- Adaptability and flexibility in a fast-paced online environment.
- Demonstrated passion for education and student success.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with online teaching or blended learning models.
- Familiarity with the specific LMS used by Think Digital College (e.g., Moodle, Google Classroom).
