Key Responsibilities
- Conduct real-time monitoring of multiple CCTV camera feeds and alarm systems from a remote station.
- Identify and assess potential security threats, unusual activities, or suspicious behaviour through remote observation.
- Initiate appropriate response protocols, including dispatching on-site mobile units or notifying emergency services.
- Manage and log all security incidents, ensuring accurate and detailed reporting.
- Maintain comprehensive knowledge of client security policies, emergency procedures, and site-specific instructions.
- Operate and troubleshoot various security software and hardware systems.
- Communicate effectively with on-site personnel, clients, and emergency responders during incidents.
- Perform virtual patrols, ensuring compliance with security protocols across monitored sites.
- Compile daily activity reports and incident summaries.
- Assist in the remote management of access control systems for authorized personnel.
Required Skills
- Proven experience (minimum 2 years) in security operations or remote monitoring.
- Excellent observational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
- Proficiency in using CCTV monitoring software and alarm systems.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities, especially under pressure.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Ability to work independently and as an effective part of a remote team.
- Comfortable with technology and quick to learn new software applications.
- Valid PSIRA Grade C or higher registration (Private Security Industry Regulatory Authority).
- Clean criminal record and clear credit history.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a remote operations center, control room, or dispatch role.
- Familiarity with various advanced security technologies and communication platforms.
- First Aid and CPR certification.
- Proficiency in Afrikaans is an advantage for local communication.
