Key Responsibilities
- Provide remote technical support and troubleshooting for various irrigation systems (pivot, drip, micro-irrigation).
- Design and optimize irrigation layouts and hydraulic systems based on client needs and environmental data.
- Utilize remote monitoring tools and software to diagnose issues, analyze system performance, and recommend adjustments.
- Develop and implement irrigation schedules and water management strategies for diverse crops and soil types.
- Conduct virtual consultations with farmers and on-site staff, offering guidance on system operation, maintenance, and upgrades.
- Prepare detailed reports on system performance, water usage, and recommended improvements.
- Assist with the remote calibration of irrigation equipment and sensors.
- Collaborate with sales and engineering teams to integrate new technologies and improve service offerings.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of irrigation technologies, agricultural practices, and water conservation techniques.
- Occasionally travel to client sites within the Free State for critical diagnostics, complex installations, or training.
Required Skills
- Proven experience with various irrigation systems (pivot, drip, micro).
- Strong understanding of hydraulic principles and water management.
