Job Description
Stefanutti Stocks is seeking an experienced and highly skilled General Builder/Bricklayer to join our team in a unique remote capacity, specifically focusing on project oversight and quality assurance for our various construction projects across the Northern Cape, including the Pofadder region. This is a critical role for an individual who possesses extensive hands-on building and bricklaying expertise and can translate that knowledge into effective remote project management, supervision, and technical guidance. While your physical presence won’t be required on a daily basis, your deep understanding of construction methods, material specifications, and quality standards will be instrumental in ensuring our projects meet the highest benchmarks.
In this innovative remote role, you will be responsible for reviewing project plans, providing expert advice on complex building and bricklaying challenges, conducting virtual site inspections through digital tools and reports, and ensuring adherence to safety and quality protocols. You will act as a vital link between on-site teams and senior management, offering technical support, troubleshooting issues remotely, and contributing to the successful and timely completion of projects. Key Responsibilities
- Provide expert remote technical guidance and oversight on all building and bricklaying aspects of projects.

- Review construction plans, blueprints, and specifications to ensure accuracy, feasibility, and compliance with industry standards.
- Offer solutions and troubleshoot complex building and bricklaying challenges remotely.
- Ensure strict adherence to quality control standards, material specifications, and construction methodologies.
- Collaborate with project managers, site supervisors, and other stakeholders through digital communication platforms.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive reports on project progress, quality benchmarks, and potential issues.
- Assist in the remote training and mentorship of on-site personnel regarding best practices.
- Contribute to the development of project schedules and material procurement strategies from a remote perspective.
- Stay updated on the latest building techniques, materials, and safety regulations.
Required Skills
- Minimum 5 years of practical experience as a General Builder/Bricklayer.
- Proven experience in construction project supervision or management (even if on-site previously).
- Strong understanding of building codes, safety regulations, and quality standards.
- Proficiency in using digital communication tools (e.g., video conferencing, project management software).
- Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking abilities.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
