Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Corporate Solicitor to join our esteemed national Corporate division in a fully remote capacity. This is an exceptional opportunity for a talented legal professional to contribute to high-profile transactions and provide expert advice to a diverse portfolio of clients, all from the comfort and flexibility of their home office. As a Remote Corporate Solicitor, you will be integral to our team, managing a varied caseload that includes mergers and acquisitions, private equity transactions, corporate reorganisations, joint ventures, and general corporate advisory work. You will be responsible for drafting and negotiating complex legal documentation, conducting due diligence, and advising clients on a wide range of corporate governance and compliance matters.

This role demands a meticulous eye for detail, strong commercial acumen, and the ability to work autonomously while remaining a collaborative team player within a virtual environment. You will regularly engage with senior colleagues, clients, and external advisors through video conferencing and other digital platforms, ensuring seamless communication and project delivery. Key Responsibilities

  • Manage a diverse caseload of corporate transactions, including M&A, private equity, and corporate reorganisations.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of corporate legal documents and agreements.
  • Conduct thorough due diligence investigations and report findings effectively.
  • Provide clear, concise, and commercially focused legal advice to clients on corporate governance, compliance, and general corporate matters.
  • Act as a primary point of contact for clients, building and maintaining strong relationships through virtual communication.
  • Collaborate effectively with colleagues across different departments and locations using remote working tools.
  • Stay abreast of legal developments and industry trends relevant to corporate law.
  • Contribute to business development initiatives and knowledge-sharing within the team.
  • Ensure all work is completed to the highest professional standards and within agreed timescales.

Required Skills

  • Qualified Solicitor in England & Wales with a current SRA practising certificate.
  • Minimum of 4 years Post-Qualified Experience (PQE) in Corporate Law, gained within a reputable law firm.
  • Proven experience in managing M&A, private equity, and corporate restructuring projects.
  • Excellent drafting, negotiation, and analytical skills.
  • Strong commercial awareness and ability to provide practical, client-focused advice.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with a strong ability to engage remotely.
  • Proficiency in legal research tools and remote collaboration software (e.g., Microsoft Teams, Zoom).
  • Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and meet deadlines in a remote setting.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in specific sub-sectors of corporate law (e.g., venture capital, corporate finance).
  • Experience working with international clients or on cross-border transactions.
  • Advanced degree in law or business.
  • Track record of contributing to business development or thought leadership.
