Job Description

We are seeking compassionate and experienced Registered Nurses to join our dedicated team at Broadlawns Medical Center. Key Responsibilities

  • Provide direct patient care, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
  • Monitor patient vital signs and report any significant changes.
  • Collaborate effectively with physicians, other nurses, and healthcare professionals.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records.
  • Educate patients and their families about their health conditions and treatment plans.
  • Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives.
  • Maintain a safe and therapeutic environment for patients.

Required Skills

  • Current Registered Nurse license in the State of Iowa
  • BLS certification
  • Proficient in electronic health record (EHR) systems
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in a hospital setting
  • Experience with specific patient populations (e.g., pediatrics, geriatrics)
  • Certification in a specialty area of nursing
  • Bilingual skills (English/Spanish)
