Key Responsibilities
- Sort various recyclable materials (e.g., plastics, paper, glass, metals) on a conveyor belt or at designated stations.
- Operate and monitor machinery and equipment used in the recycling process, such as balers, compactors, or sorting machines, under supervision.
- Perform general clean-up and maintenance of the work area to ensure a safe and organized environment.
- Identify and remove contaminants or non-recyclable items from the material stream.
- Adhere strictly to all safety protocols, wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.
- Assist with loading and unloading materials as required.
- Report any equipment malfunctions, safety hazards, or process issues to supervisors promptly.
- Collaborate effectively with team members to achieve daily production and sorting targets.
Required Skills
- Physical stamina and ability to perform repetitive tasks, lift moderate weights, and stand for extended periods.
- Strong attention to detail to accurately identify and sort materials.
